THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND FAITH IN MEDIEVAL AND MODERN WESTERN PHILOSOPHY

This article provides a philosophical analysis of the stages of formation and development of the relationship between knowledge and faith in Medieval and Modern Western philosophy. Specifically, it illuminates the interplay between reason and faith within the teachings of Christian philosophy, Patristics, and Scholasticism. Furthermore, it examines the formation of significant philosophical movements such as rationalism and empiricism, which arose under the influence of scientific progress in the Modern era, and analyzes their contributions to the theory of knowledge.
